KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Datuk Farid Kamil, currently on medical leave due to knee surgery, will be back in court after Sept 12.
Farid’s younger brother, actor Fadzil Zahari said he had just submitted the Lagenda Budak Setan star’s medical leave certificate to the Petaling Jaya Magistrate's Court today.
“Farid went for knee surgery on Aug 27 at Hospital Tuanku Jaafar in Seremban, Negri Sembilan, and he’s getting adequate rest to prepare himself for the trial later this month,” said Fadzil in a news report today.
Fadzil also said no warrant of arrest had been issued against his brother by the court for non-attendance of the trial.
Magistrate Nor Ariffin Hisham received the certificate from Fadzil.
The court has set five days, between Nov 27 and Dec 14 for Farid’s trial with a minimum of seven prosecution witnesses.
