The event, organised in conjunction with her upcoming solo concert Ella Unplugged in KL at Istana Budaya was held to celebrate local musicians from various backgrounds.
The 52-year-old artiste ultimately beat her own record which she had held previously, performing with 100 musicians in 2016 for a similar event leading up to Konsert Ella 2016.
“I’m happy to set a new record for myself, but it wasn’t just about that. I wanted to give these musicians a unique experience by performing together in a large group,” she said when met with reporters at the event.
Meanwhile, Ella said that she was all pumped up to perform at her big concert and happily shared that tickets were selling like hot cakes.
“I won’t lie, the pressure is on as the concert inches closer, but I am excited at the same time. I want to give my best for my fans,” she said.
