#Showbiz: Suga's heartwarming birthday celebration, BTS comeback in April?

KUALA LUMPUR: Suga of K-Pop giant BTS turned 26 last Saturday. The talented rapper, songwriter and producer certainly had other people in mind for his birthday celebration though.

According to Soompi, the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation had revealed on March 9 that: “BTS’s Suga donated 100 million won (over RM360,000) and 329 dolls under the name Army (the group's official fan club name) to celebrate his birthday.”

It was a heartwarming gesture from the South Korean idol, whose real name is Min Yoon-gi, to offer a little help to the children but also to express his gratitude to the fans who have been loyal to BTS all this time.

The Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation also added: “Suga had said that he wished to make the donation to repay all of the love he has received from fans. We will put his donation to good use for the children. Thank you.”

On a different note, fans or Army have been excited since a recent report claimed that BTS would be making a comeback in April.

Apparently, Korean news outlet Sports DongA had reported industry insiders as saying that BTS would be making its highly-anticipated comeback next month.

It also said that the popular group's agency, Big Hit Entertainment, had decided to speed up the comeback to mid-April from the originally schedulled May date.

The seven-member K-Pop juggernaut is believed to be in the final stages of completing it's new album and is also preparing to shoot more than one music video.

The report stated that the new music videos were expected to begin shooting this week.

In an updated report today, a Big Hit representative had officially teased that: “BTS is currently preparing the album and we are planning to announce their comeback date soon.”

BTS’ previous comeback was in last August after it released the record-breaking repackaged album Love Yourself: Answer.
