KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Datin Diana Danielle revealed that she had been suffering from mental breakdown and extreme anxiety attack for the past few days.
In a video she recorded and posted on her Instagram yesterday, she shared with her fans and followers her difficulty in breathing and how it had been a very painful episode for her.
The video depicts the 27-year-old mother of two in-between sobs while recounting what she was experiencing.
“Only those who suffer from this condition can relate. I don’t care about how I look during this time. Unable to breathe properly for so many days is a scary experience and it is also a frustrating one.
“My chest hurts from overextending the breathing. I would never dream of making a video crying like a baby and show it to the world.
“But it’s important to speak about mental health that affects so many. I share because people go through it in silence, don’t be shy to seek help from a professional, an ustaz who is experienced and who can share steps to manage the overwhelming experience... So I’ll be open and try some solutions given by so many good hearted people. Just know that panic attacks can turn to anxiety attacks which can also turn into other forms of mental instabilities...” she wrote.
Diana is hopeful that by sharing her experience, it would help create awareness among Malaysians.
Admitting that she is feeling better today, she updated on her Instagram asking others to be wary of such a condition.
“Let’s talk about how to take care of our body better okay? I’m slowly getting better — semput tak seteruk semalam. Alhamdulillah tq semua,” she wrote.
