#Showbiz: 'Bullying is a big no!' - Que Haidar

KUALA LUMPUR: Que Haidar played a student who was bullied by his classmate, played by Datuk Farid Kamil in the comedy Papadom. And just as he stood up to the bully in the 2009 film, he has stood up to a real-life one who bullied his nine-year-old daughter Tengku Ratu Haidar in school.

In an Instagram post yesterday, the 40-year-old artiste whose real name is Tengku Iskhan Shah Tengku Haidar said that he had just reported the bullying case to his daughter's school's disciplinary master.

He also said that he had left it to the school to take action against the culprit, believed to be one of Ratu's classmates.

“Bullying is a big no! I've reported it to the disciplinary master, and it's now for the school to act against the culprit. Thank God it will be settled real soon,” he said.

And in response to a Netizen, Mawarputih, he said that he did not teach his daughters to “fight back” when bullied, and always report the culprits to their teachers.

Netizens praised Que for showing his daughter the right response to bullies.

"Well done Que. Leave it to the cikgus to resolve the case," said Nad.

“That's the way. Don't let bullies go unpunished. Report them to the teachers," said Ema.

"Say no to bullying! Syabas Que and Ratu!" said Nurin.

It is learnt that the bully scribbled in Ratu's textbook and earned a rebuke from Que's eldest daughter. The bully subsequently retaliated, hitting Ratu and bruising her arm.

Ratu is the elder of Que's two daughters with his wife, dance instructor Linda Jasmine Hashim of Akademi Fantasia fame.

Que and Linda were married on Feb 14, 2009. Ratu's younger sister is Tengku Cleopatra Haidar, 7.

Linda also has a 19-year-old son Qalif Khan from a previous marriage.
