KUALA LUMPUR: Singer, actor, and radio announcer Asmawi Ani or Mawi once got a warm hug from Bollywood star Datuk Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) who visited Malaysia two decades ago.
Mawi recollected that magical moment in a recent interview and said that he was greatly impressed with SRK's ability to speak to fans from all walks of life.
"SRK was super polite and kind to all of his fans. I really felt that I should learn those superb communication skills from him," said Mawi.
"When he got out of his car he actually asked for Mawi. I couldn't believe it!
"His bodyguard then identified me amongst the local artistes and he quickly came up to me and hugged me."
Mawi said that he was a big fan of SRK and the big hug he gave him was a dream come true.
"I felt that I was the luckiest man in the world that day," he said.
