#Showbiz: 'No point feeling sad' - Sharnaaz Ahmad

KUALA LUMPUR: Sharnaaz Ahmad's divorce has yet to be finalised, but the actor is not allowing himself to dwell in sorrow.

When a fan identified as Nur Diyana commended him on Instagram yesterday for being "strong in the face of adversity", Sharnaaz replied that he was "not one to wallow in self-pity".

Instead, the Lelakimu Yang Dulu star believes that by getting involved in positive activities such as cycling with friends, his mind would be kept away from painful thoughts.

Nur Diyana said: "You're so strong Abang Sharnaaz. I pray that you will overcome all problems and become more successful in life."

Sharnaaz replied: "It's no point feeling sad and sorry for yourself. Better focus on good things and work hard for a brighter future."

Netizens commended Sharnaaz for his positive outlook, and wished him all the best in love, life and career.

“Salute Sharnaaz. Think positive and we will overcome our problems. After all, nobody is free from problems," said Arfah.

“That's the spirit Abang Sharnaaz. Great actor, great guy," said Hana.

On Sept 30, Sharnaaz filed for nusyuz (disobedience) against his wife entrepreneur Noor Nabila Mohd Noor at the Kuala Lumpur Lower Syariah Court.

He said that he wanted to stop all speculations surrounding their on-going divorce case.

“Besides, I also want to settle the issue between the two of us in the best way possible without any aggression,” he said.

Syariah Judge Ahmad Muttaqi then fixed Nov 6 for case re-mention.

In early September, Noor Nabila who is also the elder sister of popular TV host and actress Neelofa, filed for a divorce.

Sharnaaz and Noor Nabila tied the knot on March 31 in 2017. They have a 12-month-old boy named Jebat Jayden Ahmad.
