Teen shares cryptic messages before tragic Sungai Pahang incident

JERANTUT: Azri Fahmi Bahiudin Zaiful Afindi, 14, reportedly apologised to his school friends and shared cryptic messages about death on TikTok before falling into Sungai Pahang river last Saturday.

The Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Temin student's classmate, Aidil Hakim Muhammad Shaiful, 14, revealed that Azri Fahmi had reached out to friends via WhatsApp the night before the incident.

"He sent a message on Friday night apologising to all his friends. On TikTok, he also posted messages expressing feelings of being left out, unease, and even a mention about preparing to lie down in front of an imam," Aidil said when met at the Mat Kilau Cemetery today.

According to Aidil, he was informed about his friend's drowning on Saturday.

NST reported that Azri Fahmi fell into Sungai Pahang while attempting to climb onto a floating house at 5pm on Saturday.

His body was discovered some 900 metres from the incident site at 7.45am today.
