#Showbiz: Abby's Baby D gains 87g after 1 month in NICU

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Abby Abadi's new baby Muhammad Danial Firman is more than a month old now, and has been showing positive improvement while in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Abby's husband Faizal Zakaria posted a photo of Muhammad Danial's right hand in his two days ago, and in his caption he thanked friends and fans for their constant prayers for the well-being of "Baby D".

He also revealed that Muhammad Danial now weighed 622 grams, up 87 grams from his birth weight of 535 grams.

Faizal said: “Day 30, Muhammad Danial Firman is still in the NICU of Sungai Buloh Hospital. But he is getting bigger and stronger now.

“Daddy and mummy didn't realise that time has flown fast and Baby D has grown so much. Daddy and mummy always look forward to holding baby's little hands.

"We are so relieved that Baby D is healthy and strong, drinking lots of milk. Baby D is adapting well in NICU, his second home.

"Daddy and mummy love you so much Baby D and we always pray for your health and success. May God protect Baby D and grant him good health and strength, so that he can finally come home in our embrace.

"Many people out there love Baby D and cannot wait to meet and greet him."

Netizens were relieved and delighted that their baby was showing good progress.

"May you continue to grow stonger and healthier. Love you much Baby D," said Fyenna.

"Thank God Baby D is all right. May his body gain strength," said Yana.

"Keep it up Baby D. We all love you and want to see you get better," said Ann.

On Oct 7, Abby said she was praying for a miracle as Baby D, then 11-days-old was fighting for his life.

Born prematurely at 23 weeks on Sept 27, he also suffered internal bleeding in the lungs shortly after birth.

Abby and Faizal were married on Aug 14, 2015 and they have two adopted children Muhammad Daiyan Fayyad and Maisara Dayana Fathia.
