#Showbiz: K-Pop group to debut with Indonesian member

KUALA LUMPUR: A five-member South Korean girl group called Secret Number, which is set to make its debut this month, will showcase an Indonesian member.

In a recent report by The Jakarta Post, Dita Karang was featured in a group picture on the upcoming K-Pop outfit's Instagram account last Wednesday.

She is apparently touted as the new group's main dancer, vocalist and rapper.

Part of a previous Instagram post on her personal account read: "Can't believe this was almost 3 years ago. I'm so excited for what comes next. Your dreams are limitless! I'm also still working towards my goals and so can you!"

The accompanying picture to the entry saw Dita standing in front of the American Ballet Theater in New York, US.

Her posts on the matter have naturally garnered mostly positive responses from Indonesian Netizens, who expressed their admiration and support.

Secret Number, which is managed by South Korean entertainment agency Vine Entertainment, is also made up of Lea, Soodam, Jinny and Denise.

Aside from Dita, the other non-South Korean member is Lea, who hails from Japan.

She began her entertainment career as a participant in the South Korean survival reality show MXNINE, which was produced by premiere K-Pop entertainment agency, YG Entertainment.

Secret Number has so far uploaded a couple of dance cover videos on its Instagram account.

One is Medicine by Jennifer Lopez, featuring French Montana, and the other is Kiss And Make Up by Dua Lipa and BlackPink.

BlackPink, a quartet considered to be one of K-Pop's top female acts, also features a Southeast Asian member, Lisa Manoban, who is a Thai national.
