KUALA LUMPUR: Netizens were recently shocked by a status update on the official Facebook account of Aidijuma Scarf, the scarf brand owned by former TV personality Norjuma Habib Mohamed.
The status read: "Bodoh macam mana sekalipun #politician #policymaker #pentadbirawam #pelaksanadasar #peguam #police #companysecretary #jabatanauditnegara #banknegara we the multimillion entrepreneur akan tetap membantu rakyat dan ekonomi !"
(No matter how stupid politicians, policymakers, civil servants, lawyers, police, company secretaries, the National Audit Department and Bank Negara Malaysia are, we the multi-million entrepreneurs will always be the ones helping the people and the country's economy.)
While it could not be confirmed the responsible individual behind the status, whether it was by the 39-year-old Norjuma herself, or her staff, it did not sit well on Netizens.
"I wonder who the administrator for this page is? Or are these words from Aidijuma Scarf's owner herself? You may be wealthy, but to call other people stupid is not a bright idea too. Or is this an out-of-the-box marketing strategy?" commented Facebook user Fuad Rahman TV.
Another chipped in: "Soon when this has gone viral and people start boycotting the product, we'll see a public apology issued. What a cheap stunt."
