KUALA LUMPUR: A month after Neelofa, another Muslim celebrity has come up with her very own Islamic mobile content application.
Former hip-hop and pop singer Shazrina Azman, better known as Mizz Nina, has just launched Qalby App, now available on Apple Store and Google Playstore.
In a recent Instagram post, Mizz Nina, 40, said that the application was designed to share knowledge of Islamic teachings using state-of-the-art media technology.
She also said that she was inspired to come up with Qalby App after attending a Ta'leem Al-Quran class at religious portal Alhudaonline in late 2018.
"Are our hearts truly pure? How about our faith? God does not judge how we look but judges our deeds and what is in our hearts. Qalby means 'my heart' in Arabic," said Mizz Nina.
Qalby App's services include an e-Journal, prayer times, Quran reading, kiblat directions, prayer collections, and spiritual video lessons. It has been uploaded 10,000 times, and Malaysians have given it the thumbs up.
Last month, Neelofa said that she would be launching her own Islamic content mobile application The Noor, and one of its features is a Quran voiceover translation in Malay, Indonesian, English, Mandarin and Tamil.
