KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Faye Kusairi who is 38 weeks pregnant is currently recovering from Bell's Palsy.
The 33-year-old artiste suffered an attack last Friday, and was admitted to a hospital here.
Bell's Palsy is a type of facial paralysis resulting from damage in facial nerve that causes muscle weakness on one side of the face.
The mother of one took to Instagram yesterday to share news of her condition with her fans and followers.
"Alhamdulillah. I was discharged from the hospital yesterday.
"I've been diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. I suffered an attack last Friday while brushing my teeth, and was admitted to the hospital over the weekend."
The condition has caused the right side of Faye's face to droop or become stiff.
"I'm currently undergoing treatment at Columbia Asia with neurologist Dr Tan, and she said that I'm making progress. Now, I can move my facial muscles a little. Thank God…," she wrote.
Faye added that with a few more weeks to go before her delivery, she would continue treatment for facial paralysis at home.
