#Showbiz: BTS' new single 'Butter' out next month

KUALA LUMPUR: K-Pop juggernaut BTS will be releasing its latest song next month, titled Butter.

According to Koreaboo, the digital single was announced online earlier today via a countdown teaser on the music group's BangtanTV YouTube channel.

Initially, a mysterious live countdown video appeared on the channel featuring a yellow, melting cube which seemed to look like butter accompanied by the sounds of someone cooking.

The butter eventually melted into the shape of a heart and the word "Butter" was revealed along with a release date set for May 21 at 1am (Korean time).

A press release made available later from Big Hit Music said: "Brimming with the inimitable charm of BTS, the new single Butter will melt its way into the hearts of all Army. Dip into the sometimes smooth, other times charismatic enchantment of BTS with their latest music."

It was also revealed that a physical single of Butter would be made available internationally this summer.

Meanwhile, Koreaboo also reported that some fans of BTS have taken it upon themselves to re-edit a recent photoshoot featuring the seven idols of the group by luxury brand Louis Vuitton.

As new House Ambassadors for the renowned company, their pictures were uploaded on Louis Vuitton's social media accounts.

Not satisfied by the overly white tint of the images, the fans decided to restore the lighting to reflect the idols' natural skin tone.

Some were of the opinion that the original photos were not purposely whitewashed but were done with aesthetic filters such as those available for use on social media apps.

But others remained unhappy about the original creative choice and re-edited the images, which were then circulated on their social media accounts.
