KUALA LUMPUR: Director and producer Shahrulezad Mohameddin says he has been getting messages asking him to come out with a drama, based on the recent tragedy that struck Thai actress Tangmo Nida.
In an Instagram post yesterday, he however said that he would rather put out one inspired by what happened to Mongolian beauty Altantuya Shaariibuu.
"I still prefer to base it on Altantuya's story, which is darker and more scandalous," he wrote.
Shahrulezad said that with a good script, Altantuya's story, laden with scandalous elements, murder motives and dark twists, would be a more intriguing story to tell, especially when it still remained a mystery until today.
Many of his followers also agreed with him, including celebrities who were amused by his post.
Actress Didie Alias responded by jokingly volunteered herself for the role of the mother to the murdered Mongolian model.
