#Showbiz: Tickets for M. Nasir's 'Simfoni Mustika' sold out in 30 minutes

KUALA LUMPUR: Tickets to music maestro Datuk M. Nasir's November concert Simfoni Mustika M. Nasir & Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra were snapped up within 30 minutes beginning 10am today.

The concert with Ahmad Muriz Che Rose as its conductor, is Nasir's second with the prestigious orchestra since 2012. It will be held at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in KLCC, Jalan Ampang at 8.30pm.

Simfoni Mustika, named for Nasir's iconic song Mustika, marks his second concert of the year after Konsert Panorama Jingga 1444 Hijrah, which featured his group Kembara at the Plenary Hall of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Jalan Pinang.

Nasir, 65, has had seven studio albums with his band, and another seven as a solo artiste.

His best known concerts to date include Konsert Canggung at Stadium Negara in 1994, Konsert Akar at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur in 1995 and Konsert Alam Muzik at Istana Budaya in 2009.

As an actor, Nasir has appeared in 13 films, beginning with Kembara Seniman Jalanan in 1986.
