#Showbiz: Milo packets with Park Seo-joon's image sell out in a day

KUALA LUMPUR: Korean star Park Seo-joon recently created a stir after he was featured in a television commercial for popular chocolate-flavoured malt drink Milo.

The 10-second video of the advertisement for Milo Malaysia was recently posted on the dashing 34-year-old actor's Facebook account.

In it, the star of What's Wrong With Secretary Kim and Itaewon Class can be seen uttering the Malay tagline, "Jom minum Milo" (Let's drink Milo), and is also identified as "Sahabat Milo" (a friend of Milo).

AsiaOne reported that fans were amused by the celebrity choice to promote their favourite childhood drink.

Apparently, Netizens from Malaysia to South Africa were sharing their love for the well-loved beverage, which originated from Australia and is produced by Nestle.

Promotional tote bags and packets of Milo with Park's image on them that were sold online on Shopee Malaysia had sold out in just one day.

Milo also apparently saw a 700 per cent increase in sales in Japan following viral tweets which led to temporary supply shortages.
