KUALA LUMPUR: Iconic local classic rock bands Blues Gang and Sons of Adam will be entertaining fans of rock, blues and Latin music this evening to herald Merdeka Day.
The A Night Of Rock Blues Latin concert will begin from 5pm today and showcase the various genres through both young and veteran performers.
Organised by Sons of Adam, the up close and personal show will culminate with a Merdeka Countdown and Midnight Merdeka Jamming session that will carry on till 1am.
Aside from the two legendary bands, the extended showcase will also feature the Nabil Nazmi Trio, powerhouse veteran bluesy vocalists Shara Eqkhnor (dubbed the Tina Turner of Malaysia in the 1980s) and Deli Putra formerly of Sons of Adam, as well as musicians Lolen and Yeop Sagor.
The concert is set to take place at Jazz Ampang 103 (103, Persiaran Desa Ampang 4, Taman Sri Ampang, Ampang, Selangor).
A private bungalow, the classy venue is a residence owned by Datuk Nik A Azmi, who is founder and organising chairman of the World Youth Jazz Festival.
