KUALA LUMPUR: Sabahan singer Rosario Bianis, 28, has done the country proud by getting a chance to audition for Simon Cowell's Britain's Got Talent (BGT).
The Tambunan-born singer whose audition will take place at ExCel London on Nov 12 said that she was delighted to be accepted by the talent search last Oct 10.
"I waited a year for this good news and I'm delighted that I'm finally going to London," she said in a recent Instagram post.
Rosario added that she initially planned to join America's Got Talent but the American talent search did not have a code for Malaysia.
"Fortunately, BGT has a code for Malaysia, so I decided to go for it."
Rosario won the Asean Song Contest 2019 and Bintang RTM 2016. She aims to "go global" and is working hard to find sponsorship for her trip to London.
"I plan to go there on Nov 7. I hope to get sponsorship for my flight to the UK, and I've got ready my choice of song to perform at the auditions."
Rosario said that BGT was her "entry to the world stage" and she would "give her all" at the audition.
"Competition will be tough, but I will do my best. Win or lose, it will be a moment to cherish for all time."
