#Showbiz: Burj Khalifa displays image of Shah Rukh Khan on his 57th birthday

KUALA LUMPUR: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan turned 57 on Nov 2, and the world's tallest building "celebrated" his illustrious film career by displaying a massive photo of him.

Indian entertainment portal NDTV Movies recently reported that the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates was lit up with a gigantic image of King Khan that evening, and a video of it was shared on the building's Instagram page.

The message that accompanied Shah Rukh's image read: "Happy birthday Shah Rukh, happy birthday Pathaan. We love you!" and the song Tujhe Dekha from Shah Rukh's 1995 film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge played in the video.

The caption on the post read: "Burj Khalifa lights up in celebration of the birthday of the great Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan! Let's wish him a happy birthday."

In response to the video, Shah Rukh tweeted: "Thank you my friends for putting me on top of the world every year. Love to you."

Shah Rukh also posted a selfie of himself along with fans outside his Mumbai residence on his Instagram page.

Thanking them, he wrote: "It's so lovely to live in front of the sea of love that spreads all around me on my birthday. Thank you for making me feel so special and happy."

Over the next year, Shah Rukh has multiple film releases lined up. Besides Pathaan, he will star in Dunki and Jawan.

While Shah Rukh has not played the leading role in films for the last four years, he has made several cameo appearances, such as in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and Brahmastra.
