KUALA LUMPUR: Bollywood superstar Datuk Shah Rukh Khan made a surprising announcement to fans during a meet-and-greet session on Nov 2.
The actor who has long been open about his smoking habits, revealed that he had stopped smoking.
"There's good news – I'm not smoking anymore, guys," said Khan.
India Today reported that Khan had expected to feel less breathless after giving up smoking.
"I thought I would not feel breathless, but the feeling is still there," he said, adding that he was still adjusting to the change.
"By God's grace, that will also be fine."
In a 2011 interview with India Today, he said that he smoked about 100 cigarettes a day.
He jokingly remarked: "The less I take care of myself, the more I get taken care of."
