SHAH ALAM: Estranged celebrity couple Farid Kamil and Diana Danielle have finally ended their marriage, and have done so via Zoom.
Farid's syarie lawyer Fakhrul Azman Abu Hassan confirmed this at the Petaling Lower Syariah Court in Subang Bestari here today, and said that his client pronounced the divorce using the Google Meet application as he was unwell.
"My client and I sought the court's permission and it was granted," said Fakhrul Azman, adding that Farid was suffering from post-Covid-19 symptoms, having contracted the coronavirus last month.
"I discussed this with my client a few times and we agreed that this was the best move."
On Monday, Diana's syarie lawyer Datuk Akberdin Abdul Kader hinted that his client's and Farid's marital woes would be coming to an end soon.
Diana filed for divorce at the same court on March 10. In her application she stated that she and Farid were no longer able to live together as a married couple, and also encountered shiqaq (longtime disagreements).
Farid and Diana were married on Nov 3, 2012 and have two children Muhammad, 10, and Nur Aurora, 8.
