#Showbiz: K-pop icons Taeyang and CL to perform at Borneo Sonic Festival 2023

KUALA LUMPUR: K-Pop superstars Taeyang and CL are set to spice up Borneo's most prominent music event in October.

The Borneo Sonic Festival 2023's Instagram account announced yesterday that Taeyang of boyband Big Bang and CL (formerly of 2NE1) are set to headline the festival from Oct 6 to 7 at the Sarawak Stadium in Kuching.

Boyband EXO's leader Suho and singer Hyoyeon will join the festival's lineup with Australian DJ Havanna Brown and US hip-hop star Fatman Scoop.

Taeyang's most recent hit song was Shoong!, featuring BlackPink's Lisa.

CL had her second solo album Alpha in 2021 and performed at Coachella last year with her 2NE1 bandmates.

She came to Malaysia as one of the headline acts at the Good Vibes Weekender 2022.

Malaysian singers Ning Baizura and Dolla are among the local acts at the festival.

Ticket prices range from RM488 to RM1288 and will go on sale at www.borneosonic.com on Friday.
