KUALA LUMPUR: Malique Ibrahim of Too Phat fame may not be showing his face again, but fans are delighted that his daughter is the star of his latest music video.
Inca Medina, 13, the eldest of hip-hop guru Malique's four children is shown playing the violin in the 4-minute video for Sedih Hati, which was uploaded on the YouTube channel of the 46-year-old singer-songwriter's company Qarma Studios yesterday.
"She is truly beautiful Malique. She has your dimples and smile, plus the natural beauty of her mother," said a Netizen who visited the channel.
Another Netizen praised Inca Medina for taking after her father's musical talent.
"I miss seeing you Malique but that's okay as your lovely daughter is now representing you!"
Malique has never been seen in public since Too Phat, a pioneering hip-hop duo comprising Joe Flizzow and himself disbanded in 2007.
Malique has been married to model and actress Melissa Maureen Rizal since 2008 and they have two sons and two daughters.
Inca Medina's name was mentioned by Malique in Senyum, his catchy 2010 duet with Najwa Mahiaddin (NJWA).
Sedih Hati was launched last June and features the vocals of the late singer Mona Fandey who gained nationwide notoriety for her involvement in the murder of former Pahang State Assemblyman Datuk Mazlan Idris in 1993.
The song's title is based on a line from Mona's 1987 single Ratapan Anak.
Mona was found guilty of murder by the High Court and sentenced to death in 1995.
