KUALA LUMPUR: Actor and comedian Datuk Afdlin Shauki, 52, has remarried and his new wife happens to be one of his employees.
"She is from Johor and has worked for my company for some time. We got married earlier this year and spent Hari Raya Aidilfitri together," said Afdlin in a news report yesterday.
Afdlin, who declined to reveal his wife's identity, said that his three daughters from his first marriage to Sabahan Christina Orow got along great with their stepmother.
"In fact I celebrated Hari Raya with my new and former in-laws. My ex-wife and I remain good friends as the parents of our daughters."
Last year, Christina revealed on Instagram that her 25-year marriage to Afdlin had come to an end in April.
However, they had chosen to remain friends to fulfil their parental duties.
Afdlin, who hails from Perak, married Christina in 1997.
Their eldest daughter Mia Sara Shauki is now an actress who is best known for starring in the Disney Channel comedy series Wizards Of Warna Walk.
