KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian singer-actress Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL) may have dropped the Sinclair surname after her second marriage, but she will always miss Ashraf Sinclair.
In a recent news report the 41-year-old star of films as My Stupid Boss and Habibie & Ainun said that her late husband, Indonesian-based Malaysian actor Ashraf who died in 2020 will always be her first love.
"It was not an easy decision to change my Instagram handle from @bclsinclair back to @itsmebcl. Ashraf was my first love and he will always be in my heart," said BCL.
"However I had to make this tough decision, as he had always told me to look forward, that is why I made the change."
BCL had also planned to readopt @itsmebcl before she married businessman Tiko Aryawardhana last December.
"I actually discussed this with Ashraf's family and they were okay with it. In fact when Ashraf passed away I felt that I could no longer use @bclsinclair but I did not change it back to @itsmebcl then as I was still in mourning," she said.
BCL, who married Ashraf in 2008 and has a 14-year-old son Noah Sinclair, officially altered her Instagram handle after her marriage to Tiko on Dec 2 last year.
