#SHOWBIZ: BCL has nothing to do with my case, says husband Tiko on embezzlement fiasco

KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian police have not confirmed whether popular artiste Bunga Citra Lestari, a.k.a. BCL would be called as a witness in the embezzlement case involving her husband Tiko Aryawardhana.

Radio Republik Indonesia reported this today on its website, adding that eight witnesses had already been called to provide statements.

This was with regard to the case involving an embezzlement of funds totalling IDR6.9 billion (RM1.7 million) from PT Arjuna Advaya Sanjaya, a food and beverage company run by Tiko and his former wife, Arina Winarto, between 2015 and 2019.

"Our investigation will only be focusing on that period, when Tiko was a director, while Arina was one of the Board Members," said the police.

BCL and Tiko tied the knot on Dec 2, 2023. Before that, she was married to Malaysian actor Ashraf Sinclair, until he passed away on Feb 18, 2020.

After giving his statement to the police last week, Tiko requested for the press to refrain from dragging BCL into the matter.

"I just want to remind everyone that this case is between me and my ex. It has nothing to do with BCL," he said.
