#SHOWBIZ: BCL's husband under investigation for misappropriation of funds

KUALA LUMPUR: The businessman husband of Indonesian singer and actress Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL), Tiko Aryawardhana is being investigated for alleged misappropriation of company funds.

Indonesian news portal Kompas reported yesterday that Tiko and his former wife Arina Winarto are the co-owners of PT Arjuna Advaya Sanjaya (AAS), and she has accused him of misappropriating RM1.7 million from the company between 2015 and 2021.

Arina's lawyer Leo Serigar said in a statement yesterday that she had found two suspicious profit and loss documents in his office in 2022 and subsequently made a police report against him.

Serigar also said that the report was made after Tiko failed to account for the discrepancies in the statements.

Tiko and Arina were married between June 26, 2014 and Oct 28, 2021.

Tiko married BCL last December, three years after the death of her first husband, Indonesia-based Malaysian actor Ashraf Sinclair.

BCL and Ashraf were married in 2008 and have a 14-year-old son Noah Sinclair.
