KUALA LUMPUR: In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the multi-award-winning film Puteri Gunung Ledang this year, a one-night-only screening of the iconic film's digitally remastered theatrical cut will be presented at Dream Forest Langkawi on July 8.
Produced by Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina and Enfiniti (M) Sdn Bhd, directed by Saw Teong Hin, and starring Tiara, Datuk M. Nasir, Adlin Aman Ramlie, Christine Hakim along with a stellar cast from Indonesia and Malaysia, the film has become a Malaysian cinematic classic.
The exclusive screening will take place at the Dream Festival Park, in conjunction with the first anniversary of Dream Forest Langkawi.
Set in the breathtaking landscape of a more than 100 million-year-old rainforest, the film will be shown to the public in Langkawi at 9pm on July 8.
This event marks Langkawi's first movie under the stars experience as the public will be seated in an outdoor cinema setting. Admission is free.
In addition to the film screening, there will be various exciting activities throughout the first-anniversary celebration of Dream Forest Langkawi, including live local performances, thrilling magic shows, and the "Waste, Not Art?" exhibition.
On July 7 and 8, Langkawi residents can enter Dream Forest Langkawi for free.
