SUBANG JAYA: Newly-proclaimed Biduanita Negara and pop queen Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza headed a list of 11 well-known Malaysian artistes who serenaded fans at the Cuckootopia Music Festival in Sunway Lagoon's Surf Beach here last night.
Siti, who was joined by pop groups Dolla and 3P, rock band Bunkface, and solo singers Siti Nordiana, Tomok, Jaclyn Victor, Priscilla Abby, Phei Yong, Firdaus and Joe Flizzow entertained more than 20,000 guests at the five-hour festival which marked the 10th anniversary of household appliances brand Cuckoo.
The festival began at 6pm.
The concert which was dubbed the #SAMASAMA Party after Cuckoo's tagline was also attended by popular South Korean artiste Kim Soo-Hyun.
"This is my return to Sunway Lagoon after more than a decade and I'm truly honoured to be part of this amazing concert.
"Best of all I am sharing the big stage with my fellow Cuckoo brand ambassadors who are all very talented stars," Siti said.
Kim said that he was honoured to meet Siti and other Malaysian singers and happy to celebrate the brand's anniversary with a star-studded birthday bash.
"I'm delighted to share the stage with Siti and a great team of super talented singers from Malaysia.
"As Cuckoo ambassadors we share a common love of quality household products, good music and showcases that bring us close to fans."
Cuckoo International Executive Director and CEO KC Hoe said that the brand was synonymous with giving Malaysians a good quality of life.
He said that great entertainment courtesy of Malaysia's and South Korea's best and most outstanding entertainers was fully in line with the company's mission of bringing all-round wellness to customers.
