KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia-born Hollywood actress, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, 61, congratulated the national men's doubles, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, for winning the bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games after defeating the world No.2 doubles from Denmark, Anders Skaarup Rasmussen and Kim Astrup, yesterday.
The international superstar took to Instagram today to express her joy in a post which read: "Congratulations! So proud and happy that our Malaysian boys won the Bronze medal."
The post, accompanied by a picture of the two Malaysian badminton players, had already garnered over 20,000 likes.
On Sunday, Chia and Soh played an excellent game that saw them fighting back from the brink of defeat to win the bronze medal with 16-21, 22-20, 21-19, in a match that took place at the Porte de La Chapelle Arena in Paris, France.
