KUALA LUMPUR: "Maybe some of us have forgotten all of the incidents that happened but I still remember every moment that took place."
That's what comedian Mamat Sepah said about things that happened between him and Sepah members Jep and Shuib, including a fight that was talked about in a recent episode of Dol's podcast run by Shuib with Shuk Sahar and Fizie.
"What I said in the podcast happened about 16 years ago. Alhamdulillah, God has given me a strong memory.
"Perhaps some people have forgotten about the incident and think that certain things have been made up. Besides, history can't be erased," he said in a Harian Metro report today.
Mamat added that he had no intention of humiliating or fighting with anyone.
"I refuse to worsen the situation. The three of us are like brothers. What happened before was all accidental.
"After all, in today's age of social media, it's easy to go viral. My relationship with Jep and Shuib is good," he said.
Earlier, Jep, whose real name Mohd Nadzri, took to Instagram to answer the issues that arose from the podcast segment made by some of his friends.
In the post, Jep insisted that what was said during the podcast was mostly exaggerated and made up.
The podcast episode had Mamat recalling when the Sepah group wanted to audition for a comedy programme.
Mamat and Jep had been good friends since school, while Jep met Shuib during the Akademi Fantasia audition.
They passed the audition but were not called due to certain things.
Next, they tried to audition for Raja Lawak 2 but Shuib withdrew due to a big fight with Jep.
During the podcast session, Shuib also revealed that he and Jep almost fought at a food stall because they were dissatisfied with each other.
The group still wanted to try their luck for Raja Lawak 3 but Jep and Shuib were still having a big fight at the time.
Mamat became the mediator who managed to get them to make peace and Sepah eventually went on to win the competition.
