#SHOWBIZ: Fathia Latiff admits to having work done on face

KUALA LUMPUR: Unlike many who would try to hide that they had undergone various procedures to look presentable, actress Fathia Latiff readily admits that she has done several simply to boost her self-confidence.

Speaking to reporters at an event here yesterday, the 37-year-old said she initially had her face plumped up with fillers because she believed that her face was too gaunt.

"May be when I was younger, I had a taut complexion and didn't need to do anything, but now as I grow older, there's nothing wrong in trying to boost my self-esteem," said Fathia who revealed that she had also done procedures for her lips, nose, as well as taken Botox treatment.

"I don't understand why many commented that I looked prettier before, as I think my face was too gaunt before I underwent these treatments."

Asked how much had she spent for the cosmetics procedures, Fathia said she had been fortunate to have friends who paid for her.

"I'm not worried about what people say about me for having done work on my face, it's a normal thing to do. Everyone does these days," said the actress who hopes to lose weight now.

"Some have offered to sponsor a Bariatric surgery, but I'm still thinking about it. There's also Ozempic as an option. Or I could start to exercise. We'll see," said Fathia who wanted to slim down as she wanted to start actively acting again.

After taking a long break from acting, Fathia is back and can be seen in Erma Fatima's 10-episode drama 'Jangan Tinggal Abang, Dek!'
