KUALA LUMPUR: Taiwanese actress Joe Chen and her Malaysian husband Alan Chen are set to hold a wedding reception in Langkawi, Kedah, two years after registering their marriage.
The Chens registered their marriage in Taipei on March 31, 2022.
8 Days reported recently that the celebration, scheduled for the end of the month, will take place at a five-star resort with only close friends and relatives in attendance.
The members of former Taiwanese girl group 7 Flowers, to which Joe once belonged, will be among the guests.
Joe's manager said that Langkawi was where they first declared their love for each other.
"The wedding will follow an island-themed style. We thank everyone for their well-wishes for Joe and Alan," said the manager.
Joe, 45, and Johor-born Alan, 36, met on the dating reality show Meeting Mr Right 2 in 2019.
The couple were unable to hold a wedding ceremony in 2020 due to the pandemic.
