BRITISH singer-songwriter and nasyid artiste, Farhana Ali, has released another uplifting track to provide spiritual sustenance to fans with 'I Need You'.
This follows her previous song, 'Alhamdullilah, It's Ramadan', which resonated across radio stations in Malaysia when it came out earlier this year.
'I Need You' showcases Farhana's signature style with poignant lyrics that reflect her deep gratitude towards Allah for the beauty of the world.
The accompanying music video features the breathtaking backdrop of Mons Klint, Denmark, which is renowned for its chalk cliffs and pristine beaches.
This provides a visually stunning complement to the song's uplifting message.
"We often wander off track in life as we get caught up with busy work schedules or when we feel broken by people who let us down.
"But God is always there for us in our toughest moments, as well as in our moments of joy. It's about being grateful for everything we have been blessed with," she said in a recent statement about what the new track was about.
According to Farhana, the tune took a little longer to write than her previous songs.
"I started with the hook for the chorus which I had for almost a year before adding the verses. On this song, I really took my time in finding the right lyrics to make it beautiful, and hopefully, it will touch the hearts of those who listen to it," she said.
Farhana, who is signed to Universal Music Malaysia's faith-inspired label, Masyhur, added: "I wanted to show my gratitude in this song.
"Life has its ups and downs and we may not always be the perfect human beings, so remembering that God forgives us for all of our faults is an inspiration in itself," she said.
