#SHOWBIZ: Fattah still loves Fazura, not keen to part [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: The syarie lawyer representing Fattah Amin, Zulkifli Che Yong, says that his client has not agreed to release his wife, Nur Fazura, during the mention for the divorce application case at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court in Subang Bestari, Shah Alam, this morning.

Zulkifli added that it was inappropriate for his client to state any facts on the contrary because it would prejudice the ongoing case.

"I would like to explain in general about the statement issued to us after being asked by the court.

"So far, Fattah has not been ready or agreed to divorce amicably or otherwise. This is because efforts are being made to finalise the terms to resolve the issue.

"It is necessary to resolve the terms if this issue is to be resolved amicably so that the matter is not prolonged," he said in a Berita Harian report today.

Zulkifli, who was met after the Fattah and Fazura divorce case proceedings at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court, added that the next hearing would take place on Oct 7.

"So, I pray that both parties can resolve it amicably and that the terms of the agreement can be finalised," he said.

Meanwhile, Fattah insisted that he still stands by an issued statement that he still loves Fazura.

Earlier, the issue of Fazura and Fattah's marital breakdown was hotly discussed on social media when netizens noticed that they no longer left comments or likes on posts on their respective accounts.

It was reported on Sept 13, that Fazura had filed for divorce against Fattah at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court in Subang Bestari.

However, an unaware Fattah reportedly said that he was shocked to hear about the news of his wife filing for divorce and only found out about it through social media.

Fazura and Fattah tied the knot on Nov 27, 2017.

They have a four-year-old daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya.
