KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Nur Fazura expressed her displeasure at ex-husband Fattah Amin's alleged lack of effort to improve their relationship during the two months of not living together.
Fazura said that as a wife, she longed for Fattah to act like a gentleman to persuade her when she had a broken heart at that time.
"We haven't been together for two months. During that period, I expected my husband to come and persuade me.
"Not just WhatsApp 'good morning', 'good night', 'I'm sorry', that's all.
"But, I expected Fattah to return home even though I was angry.
"As wives, sometimes we may get angry. But, I really hoped that Fattah would really persuade me, not just send messages.
"I speak the truth and God listens. God knows I'm not lying. I'm not saying things just to save myself," she said in a Berita Harian report today.
The popular actress was met by media after the second divorce case proceedings at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court in Subang Bestari, Shah Alam, this morning.
Asked if Fattah ever returned home during the two months, Fazura said he came back a few times but his attitude was the same.
"Fattah came back several times to see his child, came again the day before the divorce to get clothes, and once, came on the day I filed for divorce.
"There were many times I said I didn't want to meet. But, my heart was broken.
"I hoped and prayed to God that Fattah would earnestly persuade me.
"However, there was no initiative from Fattah to do so," she claimed.
When asked about the reaction of her in-laws regarding their domestic turmoil, Fazura claimed that they did not take any interest in what had happened.
"Since marrying Fattah, I really love my in-laws like my own family. Wherever I went on vacation, I always made sure they were not neglected.
"But, to be honest, I'm also a bit upset because they didn't contact me at all, to ask how I or Fatima were doing. But, I've forgiven everyone," she said.
Their seven-year marriage ended after Fattah pronounced the single talak for divorce in front of Syarie Judge Abdul Malik Soleh at about 9.45am this morning at the Petaling Syariah Lower Court.
They got married on Nov 27, 2017 and have a daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, 4.
