KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's highly anticipated countdown is back and ready to elevate the New Year's Eve experience.
The Pinkfish Countdown 2024 returns for its thrilling second edition on Dec 31 at the Surf Beach of Sunway Lagoon, Subang Jaya.
Building on last year's countdown, which had 13,000 attendees dancing to the
electrifying beats of headliner KSHMR amidst a breathtaking seven-minute fireworks display, co-organisers Hitman Solutions and Happymoon are pulling out all the stops to create an exhilarating sonic journey for Malaysians this year.
Pinkfish Music & Arts Festival 2024 announced Armin Van Buuren as its headliner by lighting up the TSLAW Tower in Kuala Lumpur, generating buzz for his return after seven years.
For the countdown event, Pinkfish raised the stakes with a unique twist, sending 1,000 mystery packages to their most loyal fans and giving them an exclusive first glimpse at who will be taking over the Surf Beach.
Pinkfish Countdown 2024 will feature five headliners, each bringing a unique sound to the stage as they spin their sets until midnight.
They are Sara Landry, Blasterjaxx, Showtek, Cosmic Gate, and Nifra, each a prominent force in dance music.
Representing the local scene, the lineup includes Mr Yang and Nahsyk, alongside new faces Hades and ZeroFloat, ensuring a vibrant mix of talent.
In a statement today, Pinkfish founders Rohit Rampal and Kesavan Purusotman said: "This year has been extraordinary, with our past events surpassing all expectations. The Pinkfish Countdown 2024 truly feels like the culmination of all our efforts—a celebration that propels us to new heights."
They also said that Sara was their first female headliner as the Queen of Hard Techno.
The countdown is presented by Hitman Solutions and Happymoon with the support of Fly FM and Hot FM.
