KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Wan Naqiuddin Mohd Najib refuses to reveal his singing partner in the upcoming new season of TV3's 'Famili Duo.'
"All I can say for now is that this person, who is my cousin, is also a singer, but one who had stopped singing for some time now," the 37-year-old singer, simply known as Naqiu, told reporters when met at a press conference to announce the show, here yesterday.
Pressed for more information, Naqiu laughed and apologised for not being able to reveal anything else.
"People can still recognise this cousin of mine," he said, trying not to leak more information to the press, as he needed to respect the production team's request to keep it a secret until the programme goes on air this Sunday (Oct 20).
Apart from Naqiu and his partner, other competing pairs include sisters Shiha and Ieda Zikir; Zahid and Anne Baharudin (siblings); Didi Astillah and Yazmin Aziz (cousins); Salma Asis and Ayie Elham (cousins); as well as Tomok and Sharul Kamal (cousins).
Mas Idayu, who reprises her role as judge, will be paired with a new addition, Datuk Rosyam Nor.
