SINGER Ameerais Azhar of vocal group Forteen has released his latest single, 'Selalu', from Alternate Records. The emotional ballad is the official soundtrack for TV3's new drama series, 'Dhia Kasyrani'.
The track with modern pop-ballad elements tells a poignant tale of longing and unwavering love, even in separation.
Composed by Mas Dewangga, Ezra Kairo and Amir Hassan, 'Selalu's heartfelt melody and deep lyrics easily convey the themes of true love and sacrifice.
On the inspiration behind the song, Mas said: "We wanted to capture the feeling of love and longing that remains strong despite the distance.
"Selalu is designed to connect with listeners on a deeply emotional level."
He praised Ameerais' commitment, noting that the recording session took just two hours due to his professionalism and ability to deliver raw emotion through his unique voice.
Ameerais, who has 14 years of experience in the music industry, was excited about exploring a different musical style.
"'Selalu' is a refreshing shift from my usual rock songs, leaning towards modern Malay pop with a touch of R&B.
"I poured my heart into this song. I'm grateful for the creative freedom Mas offered."
The music video for 'Selalu' holds special meaning for Ameerais as it features his wife, adding an intimate touch to the project.
"I hope this song resonates with fans and becomes a favourite in their playlists."
'Selalu' is available on all major music streaming platforms.
'Dhia Kasyrani' will air on TV3 from Mondays to Fridays at 7pm starting Friday (Nov 22). It will be available for streaming on iQIYI one hour after broadcast.
