#SHOWBIZ: Diddy accused of dangling woman off 17th-floor balcony

KUALA LUMPUR: Fashion designer Bryana "Bana" Bongolan has filed a US$10 million (RM44.7 million) lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs, alleging that he groped her and dangled her over a 17th-floor balcony at the Los Angeles home of his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in 2016.

Bongolan claims the incident left her fearing for her life.

A representative for Combs dismissed the allegations, telling USA Today: "Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have."

"Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.

"He has unwavering faith in the facts and the fairness of the judicial process. The truth will come to light in court."

Filed last week in Los Angeles, the lawsuit accuses Combs of sexual battery, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and more.

Bongolan claims US$10 million in damages for emotional distress.

The legal filing states: "The only purpose of dangling someone over a balcony is to terrorise them, robbing them of any sense of safety and bodily autonomy."

It further alleges that Combs molested Bongolan by groping her breasts and overpowering her when she resisted.

Bongolan reportedly met Combs through Cassie and worked with him for two years.

The lawsuit comes as Combs remains in custody in New York on separate sex crime charges.

Arrested in September, he faces allegations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and related crimes. Combs has denied all charges and is set to stand trial in May 2025.
