KUALA LUMPUR: Hollywood stars Zendaya and Tom Holland have taken their relationship to the next level.
The two 28-year-old Spider-Man co-stars are engaged, a family source confirmed to People Magazine.
"Everyone close to them knew an engagement was coming.
"Tom has wanted to propose for a while. He's always been crazy about Zendaya and knew she was the one. "Their bond is truly special," shared another source.
According to reports from TMZ, Holland proposed during the holidays at one of Zendaya's family homes.
Holland shared the news with friends around New Year's, but the couple has no immediate plans to wed. "They're enjoying this milestone and aren't rushing into a wedding," the source added.
Both stars remain busy with various work commitments.
The engagement became public after Zendaya attended the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, wearing a dazzling diamond ring on her left hand.
The piece is believed to be a 5.02-carat East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring from Jessica McCormack's engagement collection.
Holland had previously hinted at festive plans involving Zendaya's family during a December podcast interview, playfully keeping details under wraps.
The couple's love story blossomed both on and off-screen.
After years of insisting they were just friends, the duo confirmed their real-life romance in July 2021 when they were spotted kissing.
The following September, Holland went Instagram official, celebrating Zendaya's 25th birthday with a heartfelt post calling her "my MJ."
Despite their fame, the couple has been fiercely private about their relationship.
In a 2021 GQ interview, Holland emphasised their shared desire to keep their love life personal, saying, "This isn't my story. It's our story, and we'll share it when we're ready."
