#SHOWBIZ: Veteran actor Razali Buyong suffers stroke

KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran actor Razali Buyong, famed for his role in the iconic drama series Opah, was admitted to a medical centre here after suffering a stroke and nerve complications yesterday.

The 81-year-old shared that he now relies on family members for mobility due to nerve issues affecting his right hand and foot.

"The doctor has yet to decide on surgery and is currently focusing on treating the stroke with medication. Once that is under control, they'll address my nerve problems because I can't walk at the moment," he told Harian Metro.

Razali added that he is also using a nasal respirator and struggling with a reduced appetite during his hospital stay.

"I'm not sure how long I'll need treatment here, but I am grateful for the dedication of the doctors and nurses. My family, including my children, in-laws, and grandchildren, take turns caring for me in the ward," he said.

The actor also expressed appreciation for friends who have sent prayers and well wishes.

"I can receive visitors during visiting hours, and I don't mind if anyone wishes to make donations or offer support," he said.
