CITADINES Waterfront, Kota Kinabalu, recently embarked on a momentous milestone in its journey towards fostering global economic partnerships.
The property, on May 11, entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysia-China Chambers of Commerce (Sabah) and the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Association Kuala Lumpur.
This event at the Citadines Waterfront was attended by its Residence Manager Laurentius Bansing, Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce Sabah president Michael Chin and World Federation Of Overseas Korean Traders Associations Kuala Lumpur chairman Datuk Matthew Lee.
Also present were Titijaya Land Berhad head Datuk Lim Poh Yit, Korean Consul Yoon Ockchae and Datuk Dr Roland Chia, the political secretary to Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor.
In his opening speech, Bansing said that the MoU was specially aimed at promoting Sabah as a preferred destination for both business and leisure travellers.
"We believe that this collaboration marks a significant milestone not only for Citadines Waterfront
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah but also for the economic landscape of Sabah," said Bansing.
"By strengthening ties with key players in China and Korea, we aim to position Sabah as a premier destination for trade and tourism, and contribute to the overall prosperity of the region."
Through this collaboration, Citadines Waterfront and its partners aim to drive economic growth, promote cultural exchange, and showcase the unparalleled beauty and hospitality of Sabah to the world.
