PROTON'S third sports utility vehicle (SUV) in the X series model line-up is now up for booking at all of the brand's 3S and 4S outlets.
The X90 comes in four variants: Standard, Executive, Premium, and Flagship. All of them run on the new mild-hybrid setup which pairs a 48V Electric Motor Synergy (EMS) System with the 1.5L TGDi engine and a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
The focus of the pairing is designed to deliver an improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, improve performance and deliver a smoother driving experience.
It comes with three new safety features to the Proton brand: Rear Collision Warning which alerts the driver about potential rear-end collisions, Rear Cross Traffic Alert that detects approaching vehicles while reversing using the rear radar sensor, and Traffic Sign Information which detects and displays road signs.
Standard specifications includes Full LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, fabric seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment head unit, and a reverse camera. As the base model it only has access to three colour options of Snow White, Armor Silver, and Jet Grey.
The Executive variant adds Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, power tailgate, leatherette seats, driver power seats, front ventilated seats, 360 camera with 3D Display, and the addition of two colour options of Cinnamon Brown and Red Ruby.
Premium upgrade sees the biggest jump in features with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), 19-inch alloy wheels, Nappa leather seats, front passenger power seat, wireless charger, auto park assist, and the addition of the Marine Blue colour option.
Amongst the four only the Flagship variant is a 6-seater with captain seats in the second row - the others are 7-seaters. The top model also comes with panoramic sunroof and a front passenger power seat with 'Boss' switch.
