This new model takes it up a notch and delivers the next level of pick-up truck motoring to its owners," said Isuzu Malaysia chief executive officer Shunsuke Okazoe.
According to chief operating officer Kenkichi Sogo, the company is also embarking on a new digital platform with the aim to enhance their customer's purchase journey.
This includes employing Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) for a more immersive customer-oriented interactive experience.
"This is part of the new elevated Isuzu Experience that includes revised outlets that feature our new corporate Identity, intuitive new website including a 360-degree virtual showroom, a new and immersive roadshow setup, and new AR and VR experience.
"We believe that prospects will discover much more through the use of today's digital technology. This allows us to showcase the capabilities of the vehicle anywhere and anytime, be it in homes or in a mall," he added.
At least 340,000 units of D-Max has been sold around the world since its debut in 2021.
Isuzu Malaysia has successfully broke sales records with the D-Max for two consecutive years - 9,211 units in 2022 and 9,650 in 2023.
Okazoe said that this year will be a challenging one for the industry with the end of post-Covid pent-up demand and higher ownership cost.
In light of the challenges the company aims to maintain its sales volume this year with a minimum drop by 150 units.
Prices of the new Isuzu D-Max range starts from RM98,949.20 for the 1.9-litre Single Cab while the flagship X-Terrain is priced at RM157,938.40 on the road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia.
The company is currently conducting a nationwide launch campaign of new D-Max at all Isuzu Malaysia dealerships - those who come to experience the VR or physically test drive the D-Max X-Terrain between May 15 and June 30 will receive an exclusive gift.
