THE Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) announced today that English Premier League side Liverpool will play a friendly against a Malaysian selection in July.
FAM president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah who chaired the exco meeting today, said there has been no confirmation on the exact date but it expected to be held after the Hari Raya celebrations.
It is also learnt that Tottenham Hotspurs are in talks of playing a friendly in Malaysia.
Malaysia is also awaiting the confirmation from African champions Ivory Coast who are expected to play a friendly against the national side on March 28.
This will be confirmed next week. If the match against Ivory Coast does not materialise, then Malaysia will take on Syria on the same date.
