Fariz Musa arrested over involvement in rally

KUALA LUMPUR: Police arrested PKR’s Jingga 13 head coordinator Fariz Musa this morning to facilitate investigations over his involvement in the weekly #KitaLawan anti-government rallies.

Fariz was called to have his statement recorded at Dang Wangi police headquarters at 11.45am.

City police Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Zainuddin Ahmad said the 45-year-old is being detained under Section 143 of the Penal Code for participating in unlawful assembly.

He said police detained him after recording his statement, to further facilitate with investigation.

Fariz is the third person arrested in relation to the weekly rallies, which took place in front of SOGO shopping complex on Saturday, after PKR Kelana Jaya Youth chief, Saifullah Zulkifli and Seri Setia assemblyman Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
