KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza Taruddin visited Nur Firuza Amira Fairuz Nizam, 7, and her four-year-old sister Nur Firuza Aqila at their grandmother's house in Taman Batu Muda in Gombak here today.
The singer spent an hour with Amira, the eldest daughter to Fairuz Nizam Husain and Nova Safitri Azhari, who were killed in a tragic accident involving three vehicles at KM6.2 of the DUKE Highway at 1.05 am on Saturday. Also died was the couple's seven-month old baby, Nur Firuza Annisa.
Amira yesterday expressed her wish to meet Siti in a video clip that had gone viral in social media, to which Siti replied in a Twitter posting hours later that "it might happen, God's Will".
Besides spending time with Amira and Aqila, Siti also presented toys and gifts to the kids, who seemed star-struck by the superstar's presence.
Siti’s husband, Datuk Seri Khalid Mohd Jiwa, was also present.
"Amira rushed to see me the moment she saw me at the door and my heart overflowed with emotions. It is sad to see the sisters going through this at such young age and I pray that they remain strong. They are strong girls," Siti told the media shortly after meeting the girls.
