KUALA LUMPUR: The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) will hold a public hearing on investigation into the death of N. Dharmendran, who died in police custody two years ago, starting July 27.
In a statement received earlier today, EAIC secretary Kamal Baharin Omar said the first session will be held 9am to 4.30pm from July 27 to July 31 at Menara TH Perdana, Jalan Sultan Ismail here.
The second session will be held between Aug 17 and 21 at the same venue and time.
"Ten witnesses will be called to testify at the first session, while 15 others are scheduled to do so in the second session.
"We expect that a total of 60 witnesses will be called during this public hearing, including the coming sessions which date will be determined by EAIC Task Force members soon."
The hearing is being organised to determine whether there was a misconduct by any police officer in the man's death.
